Breastmilk & Detox
Posted on April 10, 2007 at 09:31:02 AM by sally
Hi
My sister has been using your pads to detox in preparation for pregnancy and breastfeeding. She is fully aware of the toxins such as PCB's and Dioxins that build up in the body and get into breastmilk but knows from reading scientific research that despite this human milk has an antioxidant effect and is still ultra superior to artificial formula milk for infant nutrition and health. She has become pregnant earlier than planned and is upset after reading a post that the pads should not be used after the first 6 weeks of pregnancy. She wants her breastmilk to be as pure as possible when the baby is born, but as the pads had not yet become fully lightened in colour she feels that the toxins will, during the rest of the pregnancy build up to previous levels. Is there anything you can recommend besides a healthy organic diet that she can do or take during the rest of the pregnancy to limit toxin build up? Is it okay to start using the patches again as soon as the baby is born and whilst breastfeeding? She will be breastfeeding for 2 years as recommended by the World Health Organisation and obviously wants her milk and body to be as toxin free as possible. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
