Elderly - shoulder pain

97 year old friend has pain in the shoulder, apparently from gallbladder meridian. Over the years, has caused deterioration of the rotator cup; fluid builds up in the joint, causes pain and formation of synovial cysts. Which patch, and can it be applied directly for pain relief as well as on the foot?
