Re(1): Excess Iron
Posted on May 27, 2007 at 09:19:01 AM by KenricoCare
Hi there,
Although iron is essential for life, excessive iron can be very dangerous because iron reacts easily with organic molecules that causes damage especially to the liver.
Iron overload occurs when, after many years, the body absorbs an abundance of iron which builds up in organ tissues such as the liver and heart. Undiagnosed iron overload can lead to hemochromatosis, which is a potentially life-threatening disease.
The symptoms of iron overload can range from fatigue, weakness, arthritis, until Dyspnea (shortness of breath).
We highly recommend the quick edition pads (QU-1) with Milk Thistle to treat this condition. Milk thistle (silymarin) protects and nourishes liver cells, stimulating protein synthesis and cellular regeneration. It is very useful in prevention of cirrhosis of the liver and other liver disorders. It has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of toxic hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis, ischemic injury, radiation toxicity, and viral hepatitis.
All the best,
Kenrico Support
