Problems with thyroid can cause a person to become susceptible to stress. When the stress has become severe, it can cause inflammation to develop in the body that triggers autoimmune, such as lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), that attacks tissues and cause blood clots. Stress can also affect the body's use of calories and nutrients. When one does not eat enough nutritious diet within the recommended calories intake per day, deficiency such as osteopenia can happen.
