Re(1): Removal of Steroids
Posted on February 10, 2007 at 09:58:41 AM by KenricoCare
Hi there,
Steroids, which can be found in some prescription medication, is not removable by the pads if the use is still within the recommended dose. Drug overdose or substance abuse is a different story because our body treats overdose susbtance as carcinogen (known as poison or toxins), which may be removed by the pads. An overdose occurs when an excessive amount of a drug is taken, leading to a toxic (poisonous) effect on the body.
Substance such as Nicotine has carcinogenic properties (even at the slighest amount), therefore it can be absorbed by the pads. Analysis of used pads worn by smokers or second hand smokers indicated presence of Nicotine.
All the best,
Kenrico Support
